Call for festival entries for screening at the 2nd International Environmental Film Festival Green Screen Fest

Call for festival entries for environmental documentary films, for screening at the 2nd International Environmental Film Festival - „Green Screen Fest“ - that will take place in Belgrade from 14 to 16 November, 2011 at the Sava Center, and additional venues yet to be announced.
This year the range of topics for the film is "Forests and forest ecosystems".
Following the vision of "Green Screen Fest" that anybody can participate, we will accept and take in consideration all applications (films) that are focused on the environment in wider sense, and will also be juried and adequately positioned within thematical segments of the festival.
All contest categories are international.
1. AMATEUR FILM
Amateur film program is opened for all potential participants with no age limitations. We expect and encourage participation of students independently or through school projects, as well as citizens interested for this way of activism.
In amateur film category the contestant can participate only if the filming technique is absolutely amateur. Films made with:
• mobile phones;
• digital photo camera;
• digital video camera; Amateur films will be awarded in three categories
• Best amateur film in category up to 18 years
• Best amateur film in category from 18 to 27 years
• Best amateur film in category 27 years
The maximal number of films per author to enter the contest is 5 (five).
2. SHORT FILM
Short film program is opened for all film professionals focused on environmental issues and nature.
Category awards:
• The Best short film
• Short film 2nd place The maximal number of films per author to enter the contest is 3 (three). Individual lenght should not exceed 30 minutes.
3. TELEVISION FORMAT
This year we have opened category for television shows and reports, and we expect material that has been broadcasted since 1 January 2008. The contest is opened for all TV stations and production facilities.
Category awards:
• The best TV show
• The best TV report The maximal number of TV formats per author to enter the contest is 3 (three). Individual lenght should not exceed 45 minutes for TV show, and 15 minutes for TV report
CONDITIONS FOR ENTRY:
The applicants need to submit the following:
• Filled entry form (all necessary forms are available at site www.greenscreenfest.org)
• 2 CD or DVD copies of the film in one of the following video formats: AVI, MOV, DVD, DIVX.
• Incomplete applications will not be considered.
• Films that are submitted for consideration will remain in the Festival’s archives.
• All films for categories Short film and TV format must be subtitled in english, except films which have only english as spoken language.
• Films considered for screening in the official selection will be shown within the 2nd International Environmental Film Festival „Green Screen Fest”.
• The organizers retain rights to use the films solely for promoting "Green Screen Fest" and it's values.
• After ending the festival, all awarded films and TV formats will be published on DVD "Green Screen Fest 02", and freely distributed to all elementary and high schools in Serbia as a support for environmental education programs.
• During 2012, awarded films will be projected within Green Screen Fest on road manifestations throughout the Serbia in order to promote environmental protection and "Green Screen Fest".
• The organizers confirm that they will not screen films out of commercial reasons.
• For the screening of the films that are selected in programs of "Green Screen Fest" no fee will be paid.

The entries should be submitted by 10 October 2011.
